Existing floors can be refinished for a fresh, new look. Because of the applications of polyurethane are used, with a 24-hour drying time between each one, a minimum of five days is required for refinishing. Afterwards, sock feet are recommended for an additional day. Rugs should be kept off the newly refinished floor for at least two weeks.
